In Person "Bootcamp" Workshop
ECHO Chronic Pain & Opioid Stewardship & Rheumatology In-person “Bootcamp” Workshop:
ECHO Chronic Pain & Opioid Stewardship and ECHO Rheumatology invite ECHO participants to an in-person hands-on “Bootcamp” workshop. Workshop sessions are developed based on participant feedback.
By participating in bootcamp, participants will:
- enhance and practice skills discussed in the weekly ECHO Chronic Pain and ECHO Rheumatology sessions
- develop an advanced level of knowledge in chronic pain and rheumatologic management through the evidence-based didactics and interactive learning
- cultivate techniques and skills to enhance patient rapport and effective communication
Credits for Family Medicine Specialists:
This 1-credit-per hour Group Learning program meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by Queen's University for up to 9.25 Mainpro+ credits. Session ID: 200782-001
Credits for Royal College Specialists:
This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by Queen's University Office of CPD. You may claim a maximum of 9.25 hours (credits are automatically calculated).
Hours for All Health Professionals:
This is a professional learning activity which provided up to 9.25 hours of Continuing Education

Eligibility Criteria
Open to ECHO participants**A registered ECHO participant that has have attended a minimum of 3 sessions ECHO at UHN Chronic Pain OR Rheumatology between Jan 1 2021 – Nov 23 2023. (This includes evening sessions).
Costs and meals
There is no registration fee.Meals will be provided during the bootcamp.
What to wear
Please wear loose comfortable clothing & shoes, as this is a hands-on workshop.Focus Group
We would like to collect some additional feedback about our sessions. Would you be interested in participating in a 1-hour optional focus group?- Friday afternoon (4:15-5:15 pm) for ECHO Chronic Pain participants or
- Saturday afternoon (4:00-5:00pm) for ECHO Rheumatology participants.
You will be compensated for your time. This is open to ECHO participants only.
Reimbursement guidelines
Reimbursement criteria:You must have attended 3 ECHO Ontario UHN Chronic Pain/Opioid Stewardship or Rheumatology sessions between Jan 1 2021 – Nov 23 2023.
- Must submit original itemized receipts
- Reimbursement is for Travel and Accommodations ONLY (does not cover meals)
- Reimbursement guidelines follow UHN policy.
- For Travel:
- If driving: $0.55c/km (Must be supported by a map printout of trip such as Google Maps)
- If flying/train: economy class only
- Parking is covered
- For Accommodation:
- Reimbursement will be for nights needed for the event only
- Maximum of $350+tax/night will be reimbursed
- Must live more than 60km away from UHN
- Apart from the standard room and tax, no other hotel costs will be covered.
Reimbursement must be received by January 10, 2024.
Please give 8-10 weeks for processing.
Reimbursements will not be processed during the holiday period.
A copy of the reimbursement form will be given to you requiring your signature prior to submission.
Media Notice
On site video recording and photos will be taken and used for promotion of the ECHO Program, in promotional materials.
